Rosso is authorized by the Chapter of Notre Dame in Paris to receive “liberally” the distributions given to canons, and to enter the cathedral in lay clothes when doing painting there.

Placuit dominis quod dominus de Rossis, vacando suo operi picture in ecclesia parisiensi distibutiones ejusdem libere percipat et ipsam ecclesiam sine habitu intret.  (In the margin) = dominus de Rossis.1
