There is a gap in the documents not specifically related to works of art between those documents of 1534 (DOCS.29 and 30) and the document of September 26, 1537 (DOC.31) when Rosso was received as a canon of Notre Dame in Paris. Within this period can be placed most of the documents related to the execution of the decorations in the Gallery of Francis I at Fontainebleau (for which, see P.22).
DOCS.31-40 (1537-1540) pertain to Rosso as a canon of Notre Dame in Paris, and in one case (DOC.35) to his work clothes while working in Notre Dame (see also L.56). For the works, and related documents, that he did for Notre Dame, see D.73, and L.53-58.
