Artists’ Talk – Riverwinds Gallery Pop Up Show

Hear from the artists in the Riverwinds Gallery Pop Up Show at Womenswork.Art!

Consisting of over 40 artists, Riverwinds Gallery was originally located in the heart of Beacon, NY. In the summer of 2020, they closed their doors for good after 17 years of business, moving their entire operations online to become a virtual gallery.

Exhibition Opening – Gathered, Absorbes, Carried: Gabriella Kirby

Womenswork.Art Gallery is delighted to announce the solo exhibition “Gathered, Absorbed, Carried” by Gabriella Kirby, featuring a collection of mixed media paintings on plaster, canvas and paper that reflect on the emotional landscape of vulnerability we traverse in order to connect with the world around us.
The show will run from August 6 – August 29.

The Summer Institute for the Liberal Arts – Art and Public Space at Vassar and in Poughkeepsie

The Summer Institute will explore unique partnerships between arts organizations in Poughkeepsie and Vassar. The convening of this two-day, virtual event will include panels and lectures from scholars, practitioners, community, activists, and local art leadership from nonprofit organizations from Vassar, Poughkeepsie, and beyond.

Public Arts Commission Informational Working Meeting

Due to unavailability of the City of Poughkeepsie Common Council chamber the regularly scheduled monthly meeting of the Public Arts Commission (PPAC) may not take place in-person as scheduled.  This will be replaced with a PPAC Informational Working Webinar with the agenda updated to defer topics for which public comment and voting are necessary.
