“Portrait” Exhibition Opening (in person)
The Art of Portraiture: Representing oneself or a subject through a creative medium involves more than merely capturing a likeness. These often surprising but always revealing works reflect physical, emotional, and even spiritual connections that can inform and challenge expectations. Queen City 15 Gallery is presenting the artists interpretation of this theme with traditional and nontraditional approaches. Whether artist, subject, or observer, everyone has a story.

The Barrett Art Center is pleased to announce a group exhibition: “Slipping Over The Dark Hills: A Retrospective of Eric Lindbloom, Nancy Willard and Judith Lindbloom.”
Curated by James Lindbloom and Sasha Louis Bush, the exhibition interweaves photographs, sculptures and paintings – and includes many rarely seen works.

Since 2015, Poughkeepsie Open Studios has been a popular and unique experience for art enthusiasts to personally interact with the many talented artists who live, work, and/or teach in our area. Open Studios is a two day self guided tour of local art galleries, arts organizations, and artist’s studios in the historic City of Poughkeepsie, NY. Attendees to this event are afforded the opportunity to visit artist venues – studios, galleries, arts organizations, and temporary “pop-up” spaces – and explore the creative processes, inspirations and types of modalities employed by participating artists as well as take in the rich history of Poughkeepsie, the broad cultural diversity of our community, and the beauty of the Hudson River Valley.
The 2021 Poughkeepsie Open Studios will once again be held on Father’s Day Weekend but will not be the large-scale weekend event of the past. Art galleries, arts organizations, and art studio locations will include multiple in-person artists along with limited artist “pop-up” space available.
Join the Poughkeepsie arts community Saturday, June 19, and Sunday, June 20, for an enjoyable, softer, gentler, and safe experience that will be enriching for one and all!

Pershing Park Community Meeting
Join the Poughkeepsie Farm Project & Scenic Hudson for a community Zoom gathering to explore all the exciting plans for Pershing Park:
- Apply for a Pershing Avenue Neighborhood Farm community garden plot and learn how to grow your own fruits and veggies
- Review possible new playground plans
- Share your ideas for other park improvements
- Get involved in the community effort to improve our neighborhood park
