Howland Cultural Center 150th Anniversary Opening Night (in person)

Save the Date! Exhibition opening and performance, Saturday, August 6th at 6pm. Come celebrate our Library’s 150th anniversary! The exhibit will take place at the Howland Cultural Center the original library building, from August 6th – September 25th. Join us opening night on August 6th for a special performance with local performers! There is an exciting line up of exhibits and events at the Library, the Cultural Center and Historical Society.

Celebration of the Arts EXPO (in person)

The 8th Annual Celebration of the Arts EXPO will take place at the state University of New York (SUNY) Ulster Kingston Campus and will feature a full day of free workshops in a variety of arts genres – including dance, music, puppet-making, animation, photography, painting, spoken word, writing and more. Professional teaching artists will lead all of the workshops with assistance from PUGG, MAD’s teen workforce interns managed by The D.R.A.W. arts ed program. The EXPO will also feature panel discussions and tabling from over a dozen local arts and culture organizations.

Volunteer Day at the Preserve! (in person)

To celebrate Earth Month, join the Preserve for a day of fun environmental service! You can choose between different services taking place on the Preserve or on main campus including litter clean ups, invasive species removal, pollinator garden maintenance, and trail maintenance.
