Cathy Schmitz is a writer, poet and photographer living in Poughkeepsie, NY. Her essays and poems have been published in several regional and national magazines. This FREE event is brought to you by Arts Mid-Hudson in partnership with The Mid-Hudson Career Consortium. The program is designed for students to hear about the types of employers who hire artists as well as learn how to make a career in the arts. Some of the organizations participating will also speak to internships or positions that they may be offering. The format will begin with a brief roundtable introduction of the employers and artists and then students will have the opportunity to meet, and network with professionals and ask questions in 1:1 or small group break-out rooms.
