About the foxes of the Mainland.
Translated by Kendal Simmons ‘23
There are foxes in the Mainland, in the governorates of Castilla del Oro and others, and in both the Northern and Southern coasts. Some are reddish in color, while others are as black as black velvet. They are very nimble and malicious and somewhat smaller than those of Spain. It seems to me that if one had enough of their fur, the lining made from that fur would be a very good one, if they were tanned well.
