Steve is the Director of Academic Computing Services (ACS).

He has been in the educational technology field for twenty years, working at the Dalton School in Manhattan and Emory University in Atlanta before coming to Vassar. He has a doctorate in educational technology from Teachers College, Columbia University, as well as a masters in teaching and a bachelors in liberal arts. Past projects include developing software for teaching non-Roman alphabets; a website containing contemporary articles and engravings about the Irish famine; and a virtual-reality construction of the Sistine Chapel. He is the ACS liaison for the language departments and the music department.
