Amy Laughlin

amyPic2Amy earned a Master of Fine Arts degree with a concentration in photography from the University of Florida, as well as undergraduate degrees in computer science and fine arts from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. She has taught photography and video courses at both the college and high school level and enjoys collaborating with faculty and students on the production of multimedia projects.

Amy also continues to pursue her art practice. She was an artist-in-residence at the Elsewhere Artist Collaborative, and has most recently shown work at Las Cienegas Projects in Los Angeles, California, and the Sweet Lorraine Gallery in Brooklyn, NY. Before coming to Vassar, Amy worked as a Design and Technology Technician at Parsons The New School For Design in New York City.

Amy is a Senior Academic Computing Consultant and liaison for the departments of Art History, Studio Art, Dance, Drama, Film, Media Studies, and Physical Education. She is also the director of the college’s maker space, the Vassar Innovation Lab.
