Mark Rothko’s Untitled, 1947 and No. 1 (No. 18, 1948), emerged amid his transition from figurative, albeit gestural styles, to his signature varied washes of color by the end of the 1940s. We are honored to welcome the artist’s son, Christopher, for a public conversation about his father’s work and the family’s caretaking of his artistic legacy.
