PHENOLOGY/CITIZEN SCIENCE WORKSHOP
April 2 @ 3:30 pm - 5:30 pm
What is phenology?
Phenology is the study of the timing of seasons changes and life cycle events in the natural world (ex: when trees leaf out, when flower buds open, when birds migrate, etc.)

For this event, we will meet at the Environmental Cooperative where folks from the Preserve will give a short presentation about the citizen science work that they do and how to get involved.
After, we will head out on the Preserve’s phenology trail and use apps like iNaturalist and Nature’s Notebook to gather data out in the field of seasonal changes we notice. It will be an awesome way to learn about citizen science and observe the ecological changes of spring firsthand!
If you interested in coming, please fill out this google form so we can get a sense of numbers! We will be sending out more info closer to the event, but we wanted to get the word out now!
