KCF’s Commoning Exchange | Intercambio del Bien Común de KCF

October 18, 2025 @ 10:00 am - 4:00 pm

This year, Kingston Common Future‘s work has woven together diverse community voices and hearts at so many meaningful intersections. Or, rather, the community has gathered at different instances to help KCF create something new. We have assembled to both practice and witness shared decision-making, care and celebration.

KCF is inviting community together again to join us for an afternoon centered on the advancement of common good projects. Here is a glimpse into the shape of the day:

  • Join David Bollier, a leading advocate for the power of shared resources and community decision-making, as he breaks down Commons thinking for everyone. The first 40 participants to register will receive a free copy of Bollier’s book: The Commoner’s Catalog for Changemaking
  • Walk away with practical skills and workshop material from an array of presentations by community change-makers generously offering their expertise pro bono.
    • How to Land your Project with Jasmine Graham, executive director of Mid-Hudson Energy Transition
    • Grants 101 with Patty Curry and Chelsea Miller, founders of Curry & Miller
    • How to Write a Budget that Will Get Me a Grant with David Cagan, external CFO of TMI Project
    • The Role of Business in the Commons for Solo Ventures, Nonprofits, and Enterprises with Keyveous Avery, founder and president of Thrive On!
    • The Elements of a Just Transition with Micah, our own GWI Worker Trustee (Co-ED)
  • Connect with KCF: Talk about feedback, ask questions, and learn more about our community fund
  • Share with your peers, neighbors, and potential collaborators at tabling, social, and somatic activities

This event is for all, especially:

  • 2025 KCF applicants: Get practical tools, resources and connections to strengthen your projects
  • Future applicants: Spark new ideas, meet potential collaborators, and learn about funding possibilities through our Community Fund

This event is free, but registration is required.
