Community Advisory Group meeting for the Lower Hudson River

September 24, 2025 @ 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm

This is still a crucial opportunity for you and other concerned friends and neighbors to provide input, ask questions, and ensure that EPA holds polluters accountable for their harm to Hudson Valley communities and habitats.

Whether you’re new to this issue or a long-time advocate, please register to join us online tomorrow and make your voice heard.
We are advocating for future meetings to provide the opportunity for in-person engagement on this critical issue.

WHEN:
Wednesday, September 24
1 – 4 p.m.

WHERE:
Virtually via Zoom
REGISTER HERE to attend.

WHY:
For decades, we’ve lived with the legacy of PCB pollution in the Hudson Valley. These highly toxic chemicals were dumped into the Hudson River by General Electric (GE) until the 1970s and remain at harmful levels in river sediments and wildlife.

Dredging in the Upper Hudson River north of Troy only addressed part of the problem; PCBs were spread by tides, floods, and fish and other animals that consumed them throughout the entire river system.

Future work must address the full extent of GE’s pollution to set the Hudson on a path towards lasting recovery.

Your voice is needed. We hope to see you online.
