City of Poughkeepsie Procedural Justice Committee Forum
June 6 @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm
The city’s Poughkeepsie Procedural Justice Committee will hold a public forum on Thursday, June 6, at Beulah Baptist Church to provide the public with an update and receive feedback on police-related issues. Working with other city officials, including members of the Common Council, the City Police Department established the committee in 2019 to enhance the relationship between police and the public. The committee includes police officers, other city officials and community members. At the June 6 forum, the committee will give an overview of its work, and police officials will provide an update of department matters. The public also will have the opportunity to make comments.
More details will be released closer to the event, which will start at 6:30 p.m. June 6 in the Beulah Baptist Church Community Room, 92 Catharine St. To read more about the Procedural Justice committee, including a list of members, meeting summaries and the committee’s new guidelines, click here.
