26th Making Healthful Decisions Conference

November 1

Our theme this year is:

Building Connection Community and Inclusivity – This conference typically provides an update on the current state of everyday issues that impact youth and families and those who work with them. We are in a time where many are feeling lonely, isolated, misunderstood, discouraged and maybe even angry.   Our overall theme is centered around Building Community, Connection and Inclusivity.  Our goal is to provide experiential education, research informed information, opportunity for engaging conversations and healing opportunities. Presenters will address ways that we can hold space for one another, bring people together, practice kindness and grace and find ways to heal.

Presenters will explain current research, insights, practices, and possible directions toward creating a culture of community that supports the varying range of everyone’s needs, including their identities, abilities, and economic power.

Attendees usually are:

Educators, school administrators, social workers, counselors, human services professionals, program administrators, mental and health care providers, child care professionals, faith-based leaders, parents and caregivers, seniors, adults, and the community.
