Eleanor Roosevelt’s Legacy in Action: Protecting Human Rights in New York State

Join the Dutchess County Commission on Human Rights, Eleanor Roosevelt Center, and NYS Division of Human Rights for a free in-person conversation exploring how Eleanor Roosevelt’s leadership in shaping the Universal Declaration of Human Rights continues to influence human rights work today. Hear from Commissioner Denise M. Miranda, Esq. of the New York State Division of Human Rights, Jody Miller, Executive Director of the Dutchess County Commission on Human Rights, and Anna Eleanor Fierst, Board Chair of the Eleanor Roosevelt Center (ERVK), as they discuss the ongoing efforts to protect and advance human rights at both the state and local levels. This engaging dialogue will highlight practical strategies, local initiatives, and the ways Roosevelt’s legacy continues to inspire action today.
