Vine Management Workday at the Preserve
March 27 @ 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm
The Vassar College campus is facing a plague of invasive vines, which are outcompeting native plant species for resources and space. In an effort to mitigate the impact of these vines, the Vassar Preserve is collaborating with the Office of Sustainability, Vassar Residential Life, and the Grounds Department to organize a student workday, during which students will come together to remove sections of the vines collaboratively. The workday will take place in the wooded areas along Casperkill Creek, near the Terrace Apartments and Wimpfheimer, on Friday, March 27 from 12:00 – 2:00 pm. Gear and refreshments will be provided.
