Food Trucks & Co – on Main Street

The City of Poughkeepsie is planning “quality of life” sweeps to start next week in an effort to activate Middle Main Street to further deter the unhoused from congregating in and around vacant lots. The city recently met with the owners of 472 Main Street and successfully encouraged them to make better use of the site this summer. 472 Main Street will become a place for food trucks and other properly permitted vendors, including those who are no longer permitted to cook out-of-doors.

Our first kickoff event with food trucks, city personnel, council members, and other community organizations is planned for Wednesday, June 25, from 1 to 4 pm at the lot near Kennedy Fried Chicken at 472 Main Street.

The June 25th event is open to City of Poughkeepsie residents, and we encourage all to come and join us!
