Walkway Connections (For Kids!): Native Plants and Pollinators
Saturday, May 10 – 6:30-7:30 p.m.
Ulster Welcome Center
87 Haviland Road, Highland
All ages are invited to come roll up your sleeves and get grounded with the Vassar College Environmental Cooperative on Friday, May 9 from 6:30-7:30 p.m. at the Ulster Welcome Center (87 Haviland Road, Highland). Find out about simple ways to support pollinators like butterflies and bees right in your own backyard. Participants will learn all about native plants, decorate their own pot, and receive a seedling to take home (while supplies last).
The Environmental Cooperative at the Vassar Barns works to strengthen place-based awareness of nature in Hudson Valley. They work with the College, the Preserve, the City of Poughkeepsie, and local community-based organizations to connect people with the outdoors. By supporting conservation efforts and facilitating youth programs, they strive to inspire deeper engagement in the natural world while fostering a mindset of environmental stewardship.
All Walkway Connections events are free to attend and suitable for all ages.
