Dr. Ben Basile –  Visiting Professor

We’re happy to welcome a special guest, Dr. Ben Basile, to our lab this year.  Ben is a visitor in the Psychological Science department at Vassar and has many years of experience in primate behavior research.  He’s been busy teaching several classes, but has also been helping us to run behavioral experiments with our wild birds as part of team Chickadee.  You can find out more about Ben here and here.

Trina Chou –  Class of 2023; Neuroscience and Behavior Major

Trina joined us in the Fall of 2020 and is part of team Chickadee.  She spent time abroad in the Fall of 2021 but is back for Spring.  Team Chickadee is currently running experiments with wild-caught chickadees (and titmice and nuthatches) to better understand how anthropogenic noise affect anti-predator behaviors.

Avani Desai –  Class of 2023; Biology Major

Avani joined us in the Fall of 2021. Team Chickadee is currently running experiments with wild-caught chickadees (and titmice and nuthatches) to better understand how anthropogenic noise affect anti-predator behaviors.

Mark Fossesca –  Class of 2023; ENST and NSB Major

Mark joined us in the Fall of 2021. Team Chickadee is currently running experiments with wild-caught chickadees (and titmice and nuthatches) to better understand how anthropogenic noise affect anti-predator behaviors.

Julia Goldberg –  Class of 2023; Biology Major

Julia joined us in the Fall of 2020. Team Chickadee is currently running experiments with wild-caught chickadees (and titmice and nuthatches) to better understand how anthropogenic noise affect anti-predator behaviors.

Sophie Jones –  Class of 2023; Biochemistry Major

Sophie joined Team Chickadee in the Spring of 2022. Team Chickadee is currently running experiments with wild-caught chickadees (and titmice and nuthatches) to better understand how anthropogenic noise affect anti-predator behaviors.

Anjali Krishna –  Class of 2023; Biology Major

Anjali joined us in the Fall of 2020. Team Chickadee is currently running experiments with wild-caught chickadees (and titmice and nuthatches) to better understand how anthropogenic noise affect anti-predator behaviors.

Morgan Stephens –  Class of 2023; ENST and NSB Major

Morgan joined us in the Fall of 2021. Morgan is helping transcribe our field records, keeping our Endnote up to date, and helping to manage the lab.
