Amitabha Altar

Karma Triyana Dharmachakra, Woodstock, NY, 2014.

Although Tibetan Buddhists do not have an independent Pure Land school, they venerate Amitabha. Tibetan lamas created this altar in conjunction with an Amitabha ritual practice. The altar displays icons, offerings, and a large thangka depicting the celestial buddha in his Pure Land, Sukhavati.
