The work of Richard Artschwager is associated with Minimalism, Conceptual and Pop Art. It explores concepts of perception and space, most notably using commercial and industrial materials to bend categories. Objects become images, then presences, and fluctuate among these groupings. He extended this approach to prints and multiples that comprise a body of over 100 editioned works. This upcoming exhibition at the Loeb, Punctuating Space, will be the first to study his editioned work, including etching proofs that speak to Artschwager’s creative process. The exhibit was guest-curated by Wendy Weitman, former curator of prints at MoMA. On view June 26 through September 6, 2015–don’t miss it!
