Many people have conflicting opinions on Thanksgiving. On the one hand, they appreciate the opportunity to gather with family and friends, eat good food, and be thankful for all that they have. On the other hand, the increasingly commercial holiday glorifies the destruction of an entire group of people just for the sake of “discovering a new world.” Spoiler alert: if people are already there, it’s not a discovery. He debunks the American myth that is Thanksgiving, noting that none of the history has anything to do with the holiday. And therein lays the problem. Listen to the short podcast now to hear more of Blake’s Thanksgiving thoughts.
