Theatre of the Rowdy with Virginia Grise

Come one, come all to theatre maker Virginia Grise‘s performance talk “Theatre of the Rowdy” this Friday, November 21st at 6pm in Sanders Classroom. Here’s a blurb about the event as written by Virginia: unnamed

Not endorsed by any community action group or radical collective, these are one queer cantinera’s re
cent intimate and irreverent thoughts, dreams and desires that occupy her heart. Written in between book edits, after late nights at gay bars, at a fictionalized taco truck, while she tries to figure out how to live her art without grants or fellowships, despite her recently acquired student loan debts.

Warning: This talk will not cause the collapse of capitalism, though she wishes it would.

In addition, Virginia is leading a writing workshop from 1-4pm on Friday. Any interested Vassar students should email Madie Oldfield (maoldfield@vassar.edu). No playwriting experience required. The first 15 students to respond will be able to participate.

We urge everyone to take advantage of this amazing opportunity.
