POUGHKEEPSIE, NY – Find farm fresh produce and great food from November through May as the Arlington Farmers’ Market moves to an indoor location in Vassar College’s North Atrium of the College Center, located in historic Main Building every Thursday from 3:00 to 7:00pm. (Please note that the market will be on hiatus from December 27, 2012 – January 17, 2013 during the college’s Winter Break.

Alyssa’s hectic and busy traveling schedule quickly became evident as we corresponded with each other via email, trying to find a time that suited the both of us for an interview. Philadelphia one week and then to Maine by the weekend, I actually caught her at the airport as she waited for her next flight.
Sustainable Community Challenge: Democracy redux.
Following off of last week’s Sustainable Community Challenge to “read the local news” and to educate yourself on the issues you care about, the number one most important thing you can do this week is VOTE!
This election cycle has certainly been an interesting one, there has been a massive outpouring of money into the elections this time around from both sides on a scale that has never been seen before and the issues have certainly been contentious.
It is not our place to discuss or stance on issues or candidates, but in order for us to realize a more sustainable community and future it is necessary that we practice our civic duty to go to the polls tomorrow.
