OIS goes Ice Skating… or tries to!
Now something of a tradition, OIS plans an ice skating trip to the McCann IceArena at the Mid Hudson Civic Center every February, and with the Winter Olympics taking place this year, it seemed quite fitting.
Obviously the scenes we were all imagining went something like this…
What actually happened was a little different…
Despite the photos above, everyone did have a lot of fun, and with our annual winter activity checked off the list, hopefully we can move on to warmer, more spring-like days! Right?

On Friday, January 30, the Art Center’s current exhibition, XL: Large-Scale Paintings from the Permanent Collection, opened with a lecture by Joyce Kozloff whose 1972 painting Up Front, Appollonian hangs in the show. In her lecture entitled “Maps and Patterns,” Kozloff took the audience on a visual journey across states, countries, and continents as she gave an account of the various cultures from which she has drawn inspiration throughout her career
