Demi-Gods verus Talking Dogs

They survived the apocalypse and the wrath of the Greek Gods. They have fought for their lives against all odds, now they must face each other in the battle of a life time….

Today we brainstormed ideas for our Video project. We decided to make a Book Talk Video comparing Percy Jackson and Post-Apocalyptic Dog Books. Tune in two weeks from now to watch Percy Jackson face off against talking, apocalypse surviving dogs.

Rainbow Names and summary –Lars and Gianna

This is what we did today!

First we read some poem some poems by Shel Silverstein, our favorite was Ticklish’ Tom!

We also made a audio story! It started as a plan for our video project, but we decided to make a sound story instead. We wrote out a script, recorded it, and added in some sound effects.

We planed what to do next week as a testing cooke dough and other foods as well.

We also watched the sneezing panda video on youtube

Here’s the audio story!

Katie and Simone 9/30

Today was a prime example of a quote from 30 rock. “There is no such thing as a bad idea, only good ideas that go horribly, horribly wrong”. We had an idea, and it went wrong. So now our podcast is slightly more simplistic, but the script is still impeccable. ~SIMONE

Yes, I love your application of that quote, Simone! Yes, today we were able to get our script recorded. After attempting to read it through with two speakers alternating by the word, we ultimately settled on alternating paragraphs. Technically, the word-by-word alteration just didn’t work out–the sound was always off balance. However, we still managed to keep in one part where we speak together–stay tuned for next week, when we add effects and music and post our project!  ~KATIE

The SLO Exam: Podcast Creation

Today, we used the script that we wrote last week to record the podcast about SLO testing in school. Megan started by recording the podcast in Audacity and then played around with editing and music to make our finished project. It took some time to find the right song to go with the PSA because there weren’t that many options on the computer that fit well with the podcast. We’re very happy with the final product!
