It has been a tumultuous week in the U.S. filled with events that cause us to doubt our unity and integrity as a nation. On this Thanksgiving Day, for some it may be hard to see what we can be thankful for in the U.S. public sphere. The New York Times recently published a story on Thanksgiving in Times of Turmoil, highlighting the Vietnam War, 9/11, the stock market crash of 1929, Hurricane Katrina, and other events that can overshadow our thankfulness for our health, family, and friends. We at CAAD take this article as a reminder to dig deep for our thankfulness today, and to have gratitude.
