As the stack of grading gets a bit smaller, I begin to let myself think more concretely about summer. Here’s a typical list (hey! it might actually BE my list):
1. Make that garden work this year; spend more time with the kids, maybe read a few non-work related books, get enough sleep and exercise….

couldn’t help but consider how stories from childhood remain with us throughout our
lives.
The importance of the last day of class
We know how important the first day of class is in setting the tone, the goals, the community in which we hope to work.
What about the last day of class? I think it’s almost as important.
