Looking Ahead to Fall 2013
Even though the summer is sadly coming to an end, I can’t wait to see everyone’s lovely faces at VAST this fall. Keep checking the blog for updates on Fall 2013 applications. The first day of VAST will be Monday, September 23.

Just a taste of what is to come this semester…
For the 2013-2014 school year, VCUEI programs will focus on the goal of promoting student LITERACY. With that in mind, VAST has three goals to achieve this year.
VAST 2013-2014 Semester Goals:
- All VAST scholars will be on the Poughkeepsie Middle School Honor Roll by May 2014 (or maybe even December 2013!)
- All VAST scholars will read at least one chapter book (outside of English class) by December 2013.
- All VAST scholars will create one writing piece to showcase on this blog by December 2013.
Remember, your Vassar mentors will be there to help you accomplish these goals.
