Jaida Elcock, a marine scientist studying sharks, is a phD student in the MIT-WHOI Joint Program. In this interview with Oceanus she talks a bit about her experience as a Black woman in the field of marine science and her journey to help start Minorities in Shark Sciences (MISS), a program that aims to provide inclusive opportunities for women of color in her field.
