Counseling Services
Vassar College Counseling Service, located in Metcalf House is staffed by psychologist and clinical social workers that provide confidential assistance to Vassar College students. Services include individual and group counseling, crisis intervention, educational programs, consultations, assessments, and referrals to off-campus counseling resources. Counseling staff can assist students with any form of abuse whether it is a recent event or in the past. Support groups for survivors of abuse are also offered.

- To promote safety and security on campus, Vassar College provides a range of services to members of the community and visitors as well. Services include around the clock protection by the uniformed, unarmed security force, additional evening and weekend support by the Campus Patrol (student foot patrol), escort and shuttle services during evening hours, and crime prevention programs. Vassar Security can be reached 24 hours a day 7 days a week.
CARES
CARES is a student run, nonjudgmental, non-political, confidential peer-listening resource for anyone affected by personal violation. Counselors are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week by calling the CRC at (845) 437-7333 and asking for a CARES listener. Students can also contact CARES at cares@vassar.edu. Counselors can talk to students dealing with any facet of personal violation, including but not limited to relationship abuse, sexual assault, and stalking.
TLC
TLC is an anonymous peer-hotline comprised of a group of students that are trained to deal with issues including, but not limited to, academic stress, depression, anxiety, and identity concerns. To contact TLC call 845-235-2062 or email tlc@vassar.edu
SART
SART members can be reached 24 hours a day, 7 days a week by calling (845) 437-7333 and asking to speak to a SART advocate. SART members are faculty and administrators who are here to provide individual support and information for persons who have been or think they have been a victim of sexual assault, relationship abuse, and stalking on campus.
