The Struggle Bus that is Final Cut Pro

Final Cut Pro did not like us all too much today, however, by putting our heads together and asking for help we got through it. Our DYI Crochet video is on its way…currently in the editing process. Should be Oscar Worth soon, if not Oscar definitely admirable for the Cannes Film Festival.

Progress!! Tori, Katie, Sharifa, and Logan’s adventures 11/11

Sharifa has a pentacorn now, thanks to Logan…his name is George.  We have finally finished recording the video for our project, and it came out better than expected.  It’s probably going to win multiple oscars and grammys at next year’s awards ceremonies.  It will sell more than Big Hero 6 and Frozen put together!

We can’t wait for you all to see it!

Signed,

Tori, Katie, Sharifa, and Logan

Megan and Taylor – Group Project Video

Today we started to edit our video and then we realized that it was extremely pixelated and the audio was that but a whisper.  And, so we had to ask Baynard for help.  We decided that we are going to re-record the audio by making a script and then reading off of it.  We did put in an introduction and credits.  For next week we are going to record our audio and then upload the newly fixed video.

Brainstorming on a day off

Today we were doing a lot of brainstorming about the upcoming weeks for the project.  We talked over about doing a film documentary interview type of thing, but decided against it because Cadeejah didn’t want to throw away all the hard work with the different music mixs.

Katie and Simone, 10/28-11/4

Last week we got back so late from filming that we didn’t have time to make a post! Last week we filmed our alien talk show discussing all the outfits with funny alien commentary. Hanna and Simone were so funny in their improvisation, and they wore matching white dresses! They were the perfect talk show hosts!

This week we went to the Noyes Parlor and were going to write but decided to talk instead all about school and life. It is important to talk sometimes and articulate your thoughts verbally rather than in writing. That is also a life skill neglected in schools. I loved hearing from Hanna and Simone: they are very smart girls! 🙂

Last week was sooooo much fun. filming went well except for the camera dieing on us. Improve is hard but very fun.

This week Hanna and i got to discuss/vent about life and school with our very wise college friends. It was a nice destressifying way to relax before my birthday tomorrow 🙂 I really love discussions, and the one we had today was insightful and refreshing.

Hanna and Kelsey- 11/4

Today, Socratic seminar in Noyes about the public education system, focusing on Poughkeepsie High School. We were joined by Katie and Simone. We were briefly graced with the presence of Starky, a 6 week old puppy. Our conversation was about the faults in the public system and the segregation of students based on color, the classes students take and gender. We really enjoyed having this type of discussion.

Next week, we will resume working on our video project, which we have finished filming.
