Hanna, Kelsey and Katie

No Simone today (feel better!) Hanna finished the film to today by herself. She added the title, credits and music. The entire editing processes has been a combined effort that has not included either Katie or I, which is really impressive!

Well, today was our last workshop, and I have to say that Hanna and Simone have impressed me every single week. I missed Simone today but I can’t wait to see her next week for our class party! Hanna finished the film and did a brilliant job with the titles, end credits, and music. It was a privilege to work with you two girls this semester!
Lots of love,
Katie

Hi guys, I feel like such a veteran, but what keeps me coming back every year to this program is to be able to work with incredible people like Kelsey and Katie and to be able to learn editing skills, college life, and to be able to have really great discussions with people who have opinions about things I have an interest to discuss. These ladies helped Simone and I create our video, and encouraged our creativity, thank you guys so much!

Hanna, Simone, Kelsey and Katie (11/18)

So, we are almost done. Bruh

They need to fix the computer stand, so I’m done, bye!

-Hanna

I learn a bunch about technology and editing, and i achieved technological excellence! i detached that audio and then i put that picture in, i feel talented. Im super excited for transitions and music next week. Bruh.

We are very psyched for Simone and Hanna! They are fantastic and are getting so familiar with the FinalCut technology which is very difficult. They work spectacularly together! They got all the pictures incorporated into the film and next week have to add music, transitions, and titles and they will be set! We are all set for the party in two weeks! We cannot express how proud we are of our younger colleagues.

Hanna and Kelsey- 11/4

Today, Socratic seminar in Noyes about the public education system, focusing on Poughkeepsie High School. We were joined by Katie and Simone. We were briefly graced with the presence of Starky, a 6 week old puppy. Our conversation was about the faults in the public system and the segregation of students based on color, the classes students take and gender. We really enjoyed having this type of discussion.

Next week, we will resume working on our video project, which we have finished filming.

When Hanna and Simone Unite

We are leaving our Audacity file for now and we plan to come back to it because it is just too good to not finish.

We are combining with our powers with Simone and Katie (and perhaps Katie) to work on our video project, which we think will be out of this world!

Our two groups united and wandered campus, taking pictures of Vassar students with “fresh to death” fashion sense. Next week, we plan to shoot the video portion.

Hanna

Did you know that hummus could also be spelt as hommus? I usually hate hummus but I am praising Cedar’s Hommus, this is literally the best hummus I have ever eaten.

Hi, I’m Hanna, 16, really digging hummus at the moment, Poughkeepsie High School Junior. This is like the 5th time I’ve done this program (and I’m still loving it!) I’m gonna be really sentimental right now and your’e gonna listen to it (as said by Kelsey). I’ve felt like theres been a lot of change though these 3 years; I remember being a little seedling and the first time I made a podcast but now, I feel like I’m so old. I feel old. Jesus. Three years ago I was probably just chilling, thinking not about hummus, my thought subjects have changed since then.

Thoughts I Probably Had In The Eighth Grade

  • Not Hummus
  • How I’m gonna get home from DST
  • I’m gonna walk on the grass when my mom isn’t looking
  • Feeling neutral about school subjects

Thoughts I Have Now

  • Yasssss Hummus
  • Cheeze Its
  • This Bio
  • I want a coke
  • I want a coke with name spelled right
  • Ehh about the name Hector
  •  Playing Carter (my bass)
