Update

Today, we searched for music to put in our digital story. We found numerous songs to place in the story. This was a difficult decision to make. We listened to some Cello music, more classical, and a lot of hip hop—XV, Kendrick Lamar, Wiz Khalifa. At the end of the day we decided to go with “Tonight’s the Night” by Outasight and “When I’m Gone” by Wiz. Hopefully next time we will have a finished 1st draft to work with and revise!

Raffi & David: Update

David decided to do a video-essay about Subway. Earlier on, he was interested in pursuing a look into the (un)healthiness of McDonald’s restaurants—but since “Supersize Me” has already covered that territory, we decided to take the project into a different direction. Subway is often advertised as the “healthy” and “fresh” option in the fast food world, but after looking at some of the nutrition facts, we discovered otherwise.

As of right now, we’ve selected several Subway advertisements, and written a script analyzing the messages being conveyed by the restaurant. Instead of looking at the contents of the sandwich, we’ve looked at the facts which include the number of calories and sodium.

Today we finished recording the script on Audacity, and hopefully next week we will be able to insert it into a video and add some music/sound-effects.

Update.

Hi there, fellow human beings.

Joe and I are still working on our latest project, W.W.S.D. We have taken most of your opinions for the main question. Some of you we gave time to think, while others we asked spontaneously. I explained as to why that was in the last update. I also wrote down some new question for the refection that will be also in the video. Today we did get far.

Later,

Hanna

I was  born in Poughkeepsie, New York on July 18, 1998. I attend  Poughkeepsie Middle School and I am in the 8th grade.  I believe that being multi-talented is important in life. Although being intelligent is vital, being athletically or musically talented is important as well. I, myself, do many things. I play soccer, basketball, baseball, and run track. Although I do these  activities, I still play an instrument. I play cello, piano, and bass guitar . These aspects in life will help you succeed further.
