The signature in the email (not shown above) is an exact copy of a valid Vassar user’s signature.
The link directs to a page that looks very similar to Vassar’s login page.
Vassar College Human Resources does occasionally ask for information updates from employees.
Why this is phishing
The “from” address is not any Vassar College address nor does it pretend to be.
The URL, or link, contained in the message does not go to a vassar.edu address or any associated Vassar College service.

A phone call to the alleged sender would quickly verify if this is a legitimate email. It only takes a few minutes to pick up the phone!
Report it as phishing to Google. Before deleting the message, make sure to click on “report phishing”.
A little paranoia goes a long way! Be suspicious of any email messages similar to this one.
