3rd Annual First-Year Welcoming Dinner

Welcome to Vassar!

This dinner serves as an important, early opportunity to foster genuine and fruitful relationships between first-years and our supportive faculty while orienting new students to life at Vassar as individuals of the African Diaspora. 

Organized and facilitated by the Black Student Leader Collective (black-identifying representatives from different student organizations on campus), the dinner will cover important topics such as first-year adjustment expectations, black representation and difficulties at PWIs,  institutional resources and opportunities (eg. identity organizations, URSI and the Ford Scholars Program), and the general importance of sustaining the black community at our school.
