Created by Professor Jenny Magnes to promote research involving optical sciences, the
Applied Optics Research Laboratory includes modern and conventional optical instruments.
In an undergraduate setting, the laboratory is designed to conduct research.
Study topics include: optics as an educational tool, spectroscopy
topics, nano-material manufacturing, and materials research by spectrophotometric techniques.
