VAST Career Night

On Wednesday February 26, VAST scholars and families were invited to Vassar College to attend a Career Night panel. The panel featured community members from various professional careers, including Teaching, Art/Graphic Design, Construction, Restaurant Management, and IBM Engineering. Our panelists answered questions such as:

-What is your job? Describe your typical day at work.

-What education, if any, is required for your job?

-No one gets to where they are on their own. Who was your role model or an adult who inspired you to start your career?

-What advice do you have for students who don’t know what they want to be when they grow up?

-What is the best thing about your job?

Thank you to our generous panelists who volunteered their time to talk to us. Our middle school students were inspired to think about the careers they might pursue in the future.
