Tim Youd Retypes the Hudson Valley

On Friday, September 13th, the Frances Lehman Loeb Art Center had the official opening for Tim Youd’s The Hudson Valley Retyped. On view are the finished works, pages steeped in the ink of the novels Youd retyped. Over the summer, the artist traveled throughout the Hudson Valley, retyping word for word novels with deep connections to his surroundings.

Concurrent with his opening, Youd began his next project, a retyping of Elizabeth Bishop’s collected poems in the galleries, as pictured below.
