Tim Youd Retypes the Hudson Valley

James Salter’s Light Years is a perfect summer novel about life in the Hudson Valley. According to the New York Times, “The evocation of the primeval Hudson at the beginning brings to mind the famous passage on Long Island and the Sound in The Great Gatsby.” Youd is retyping it this week and next at the Thomas Cole National Historic Site.
