On April 15, the Musical Urbanism seminar brought Mark Richardson, editor-in-chief at Pitchfork, to Vassar College for an informal conversation about independent music, online journalism, and the relevance of places and scenes in an era of digital music. With hardly any effort made to publicize the event, the lecture hall was packed with Vassar students. Interestingly, most of them wanted to hear about the inner workings of Pitchfork’s music reviews section.

Holy crap, I never knew that there was actually a college course somewhere focused on writing about music. I started my blog, https://www.festguru.com/blog/ because I needed an outlet and to teach some people about music festivals. Thanks for posting this!
