One of the great benefits of attending a small liberal arts college is the amount of personalized academic attention students receive here. If you are working on a research project, request a research consultation with one of the Research Librarians. The librarian liaison for the department or interdisciplinary program in which you are working will respond to schedule a one-on-one appointment. Before you meet, the librarian will prepare by applying her expertise to some investigation of your topic and then will share the information with you.
The research opportunities in a rich library collection like Vassar’s are extraordinary. Research consultations are a great way to learn about the breadth of sources available and to make sure you don’t miss anything!
