This week, the Libraries are saying farewell to a wonderful group of colleagues who will retire at the end of this year. As a Vassar alum who became a librarian after working as a student assistant with Sabrina Pape ( then known as Sabrina Weiss) and others in the Vassar libraries, I wish you all the best in your retirement!
As a fellow librarian, from a public library in New Jersey, I wish all of you the very best in all your retirements. The Vassar library staff has provided both my patrons and myself with wonderful profrssional service. Someday I will travel to Poughkeepsie and puruse the Jean Webster papers in person, in the meantime your service in collecting, preserving, and disseminating the items in the Vassar collections has been exemplary.
