Here are a few photos we took today!

Kene, Cory and I bumped into Dean. I captured the beauty of the flowers which represented Vassar. (Vassar has flowers everywhere)

By the parking lot, I saw an abstract sculpture which startled me because it didn’t mean anything. This is a close-up of the sculpture that captures that abstractness.

These flowers had a nice blend of colors. We added the vignette to focus on the texture of the petals.

I took a picture of Cory and Kene because they were a part of the project with me. I told them to stand the way they are because it gives the symmetry of the picture.

This gargoyle was very eccentric because usually gargoyles are not dogs.

I took this picture of a bike tire because lots of Vassar students ride bikes to their destinations. I was fond of the tire’s texture and design.

So, we decided to go outside because the room was so hot.  We decided what we were going to do for our video with Meghan and Gaby.  We decided to make paper stars because they’re cute.  And, then we did a test run for the video.  We decided we were going to record sitting on a bench.  So that when we were ready to record we would go over to the bench.  The first take didn’t go so well because I (Taylor) started laughing too hard.  The laughing was for a pretty good amount of time.  For five minutes I was practically dying!  I was laughing so much because we had a script and I’m a bad actor. But, the second one was better because I wasn’t laughing anymore and we decided not to do a script.  We finished recording and will do editing next week!

Today we continued finding and editing images for the final cut pro digital story.  We also did the voice recording. We just want to do final edits and then will upload the final
The Hook digital story next week.

I worked on ironing the details on my story, and putting together a fresh garage band to share with my friends and to have a good time.

Also it was dreadfully hot in the room, so we cooled down with some type racing. Typing can really be improved with all the fun little online games.  Check it out http://play.typeracer.com/  🙂

Hi Taylor,

Sorry that you couldn’t make it today!  But, we will continue in two weeks from now, when we are back from October break (so we aren’t meeting next Tuesday, October 21!)

Today, I worked with another student, Sean, who likes drawing and animation too!  I think you two could share tips as fellow animators and how to incorporate your artistic skills in this class.  We shall see 🙂

Today we planned our film! We are going to stage an alien talk show about Earth fashion, particularly the 90s and how 90s fashion still has influence today. So, Simone, Hanna, Kelsey, and I went around campus and took pictures of fashionable students so that we can analyze these pictures on the talk show and react as aliens would to these trends.

Talking to strangers can be awkward, but everyone we interviewed was really nice. Our alien talk show will comment on how todays youth is influenced by the 90s and how aliens would react to the style of American humans. It was also interesting seeing how everyone posed differently for the pictures. Im super excited to start filming next time!
