Why this looks valid

• The email comes from a Vassar College email address
• The email appears to be regarding an on-campus event
• Unsolicited job offers directed at college students are common

Why this is fraud

• Solicitations for paid jobs on campus are not normally sent via email
• The email lacks any personal greeting or indication that the sender is valid Vassar employee
• When replying, an alternate email address outside of Vassar comes up, indicating that the actual source is a gmail address off campus
