Hello, I am Micah

Who are you?

Hi. My name is Micah, and I am a Senior Assistant Director here in the Admissions office.

Where you are from?

I grew up in Cambridge, Mass.

What areas are you responsible for travelling to and reading?

Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, North Carolina, South Carolina, Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, and Nebraska.

What else do you do in the office?

I work with Transfer students (Vassar accepts applications for transfers for both the fall and spring semesters). I coordinate the art, music, and dance supplements and serve as the liaison with the arts departments at Vassar. I also supervise our student office workers.

What is your favorite spot on campus?

I am sure that it is a popular spot for many, but I also have to go with the library. Vassar’s library offers both comfy chairs and good lighting, making it an excellent location to read or get work done.

What is your favorite dish on campus?

I have always been a fan of the hamburger with cheddar at the Retreat.

What is your favorite dish off campus?

One of my favorite restaurants is the Eveready diner. It is an old fashioned diner about 10 minutes from campus. The Eveready has a huge menu, but my favorites are the French onion soup and the chocolate chip pancakes (usually not at the same time). Hopefully I will write more about the Eveready at a later date.

When stuck in traffic, what song do you start singing?

My favorite band is Journey, so I would probably start singing one of their many great songs.  If I had to guess one, it would probably be “Faithfully.”
