Sitting, Waiting, Wishing

This is a time of waiting in our office. Every day we wait for the mail to arrive with candidate reply cards. They are slowly trickling in and the Class of 2015 is slowly coming into focus. Of course, most people will wait to the last day (I know I did even though I had chosen Vassar a week before). We still don’t know if we will have to use the waitlist (and if so, how much), but time will tell.

Meanwhile, before the Class of 2015 fully exists we are already looking toward the Class of 2016. Last week, over 1,500 visitors (juniors and their parents, siblings, friends, pets) came to our campus. We were packed every single day which was great! This week most of the admission officers are gone travelling around the country talking to juniors. We do that through the next few months. For those of you who are admitted and still deciding (you only have a few days left), I wish you the best of luck! For those on the waitlist, I know you are waiting too, so hang in there.
