The following links have been compiled in order to highlight some of the additional resources available on Vassar’s campus for students and faculty engaging in research across the sciences.

URSI The Undergraduate Research Summer Institute (URSI) is a 10-week, immersive program for Vassar science students to engage in cutting-edge research under the supervision of a faculty mentor. 

Statistics at Vassar This website was compiled by a group of Vassar faculty who teach statistics in one form or another.  Its primary goal is to help students navigate through the statistics courses at Vassar, with suggestions on the role different statistics courses might play in a variety of student academic programs. 

Institutional Review Board The Vassar College Institutional Review Board (IRB) is responsible for ensuring that research involving human participants is conducted ethically and in accordance with the appropriate federal regulations.  Vassar College is committed to protecting the rights, welfare, and privacy of individuals participating as subjects in research.

SciVis Lab The Laybourne Visualization Laboratory (Sci Vis Lab) is an advanced computing lab and teaching space dedicated to research and teaching with a focus on the natural sciences.

Grants Office The Grants Office’s mission is to assist Vassar faculty and administrators in identifying external funding sources (including foundations and government agencies) for institutional needs and support of faculty projects; to assist faculty in the preparation and submission of research proposals; to prepare and submit proposals for institutional support, and to administer grants and awards from external sources.
