The Hudson Valley retyping cycle ends this week at Art Omi with a youthful audience. Youd is finishing the final pages of William Kennedy’s Ironweed today and then begins retyping Kennedy’s screenplay adaptation of the novel today through Thursday. One of the highlights was when Kennedy himself stopped by and tested out the typewriter.

Amazing that Kennedy showed up to revisit his 20th century endeavor. Wondered if it stirred anything up in him while sitting at what was the vehicle for his book.
